And today we are introducing our 7mm STW casings, for all the hunters who have an STW rifle in the cabinet, who struggle to find premium casings for it.”
In addition to producing SAAMI spec, standard dimension 7mm STW casings, Peterson also offers a version in what is called, “7mm STW Long.” Shooters of belted magnum calibers know that case life is shortened because the casing headspaces off the belt. As the case is reloaded and refired, it stretches in the chamber until the case head begins to separate. The solution is the “Long” version. These “Long” casings headspace off the shoulder like a normal bottlenecked casing. Because of this, the “Long” versions have a potential for many more reloads.
